When I started writing this post I looked back on the previous two December articles and struggle now to believe that it was only twelve months ago we were actually sending all of our staff to work from home again and facing another festive season with limited contact with our loved ones.
Thankfully things look very different for most of us this year. We’ve had freedom restored for many months now and the industry calendar is back to normal with some great conferences and networking events taking place.
We embraced 2022 head on with a few new people on our team, big leaps forward in our migration to IP interconnects and the launch of our new Porting Portal and API.
Our internal infrastructure has seen many updates and upgrades to ensure we remain secure and compliant, and of course we have been involved in the vast array of regulatory interventions that have been thrown at us.
Perhaps the most exciting thing for us this year was the opportunity to bring our entire team, including their families, together to celebrate 21 years of Magrathea. Having been physically separated for so long and with a few new faces in our gang, it was truly special to get together and reconnect.
There is little time to pause though…with the arrival of new CLI regulations, one touch switching, the telecom security regulations alongside the project work on a common database (NICC) and working to fill the gaps in our product portfolio (more news on that early next year) it’s going to be a very busy year!
Luckily we have the support of an amazing team, some brilliant clients and a host of suppliers who have supported us for many years, so we are confident we are facing another strong year for us. However, we always want to improve so we urge all of our clients to keep giving us feedback, tell us what you need and we will do our best to get it included in our work stream for you.
That just leaves me to wish everyone a happy festive season and our sincerest best wishes for 2023.
