Well that has been quite a year! We could be forgiven for thinking that months of being stuck at home with many of our usual distractions closed or unavailable would make time drag but for us at least this year has gone by in a flash!
It has been an extraordinarily tough year for so many and we never forget that but, as we mentioned earlier in the year, we are incredibly grateful to be a part of this industry which has kept us busy throughout the pandemic. A bonus of course is to feel we are playing some small part in helping keeping the world turning through supporting a number of projects from healthcare initiatives to education.
However, when reflecting on the year it’s important to also acknowledge the positives that have come out of this very tough situation. From the hours saved on travelling to meetings to an increase in accessible social events for the team online, we have tried to embrace any advantages we can.
Our team, like many others, have had to juggle home working, home schooling, illness and isolation all whilst maintaining good humour, hard work and an unwavering commitment to taking care of the business and our clients.
At the time of writing the country is looking optimistically toward a vaccine solution and we sincerely hope that all of our clients, partners and suppliers can keep focussed on this brighter future when the freedoms we have missed so much this year can return but also one where we can learn from our experience and have more effective and efficient ways of doing business.
As we see the UK move to an ‘all-IP’ environment we also see massive opportunities (and more than a few challenges!) but with the increased reliance on and understanding of technical solutions to everyday life we are confident we will all come out stronger on the other side.
