It’s that time of the fear again – spooky season is upon us so its time to carve those pumpkins (or turnips and swedes for a traditional approach) and prepare for the day of the year when it is believed magic is at its most potent and the veil between worlds thins!
Halloween can be traced back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. Until 2,000 years ago, the Celts lived across Britain and Ireland and the Celtic year was determined by the growing seasons. Samhain marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark cold winter. The festival symbolised the boundary between the world of the living and the world of the dead.
In true Magrathean style we are embracing the opportunity to have a little bit of fun, eat some lovely treats and hopefully avoid any tricks! As you can see, Linda – who you will know from our wonderful Business Development team – is already entering the ‘spirit’ of the day, looking eerie-sistable!
On a night filled with ghostly calls and mysterious whispers, Magrathea is here to ensure your voice communications stay strong – all treats and no tricks! So, whatever your plans are for this evening – whether it is hiding from the hoards of trick or treaters or celebrating in style, we Witch you a very happy Halloween!
And if you would like to share your spooky snaps with us, we would love to see them! info@magrathea-telecom.co.uk .
