This month we caught up with Ralph – who is a Client Support Specialist and part of our client focus team. He helps client’s who are seeking support with their account or are looking for a bit more information about our products and services.
We wanted to know a bit more about what he does and find out a little bit more about him.
Ralph – tell us a bit about what you do at Magrathea?
I am part of the amazing Support team, which means we are the first port of call for questions, quibbles, troubleshooting and everything in-between from Clients and occasionally members of the public.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Working with a fantastic and very knowledgeable group of people. As one of the newest employees at the company I still have loads to learn but being surrounded by many long-standing Magratheans who are always more than willing to help makes it a pleasure to come into work every day.
And what do you least enjoy?
There is not really anything that I could say I don’t enjoy about working here, but if you twist my arm, testing my willpower every time I’m in the office to not keep visiting the snack corner is tougher than I thought it would be 😊
What are the most significant changes in the time you have worked with us?
Being largely self-sufficient in terms of platforms and in-house development, we are always striving to improve our services and products for clients so I would suggest more a continual evolution rather than any one large change.
What advice would you give someone starting out in a role like yours?
Be open to learning from senior members of the team and take advantage of learning resources supplied by the employer. Building strong/friendly working relationships with the team will only help you in the long run.
What’s your all-time favourite film, book, or TV show?
Too tough a question to give one answer, so here’s a little selection: Suits, Jack Ryan, The Accountant and The Usual Suspects.
Great choices! And finally, how do you enjoy spending time outside of work?
Sorry, going to be boring and having 2 children I will say spending time with my family.
